development, especially considering the breakthroughs that globalisation has brought the past decade. Having said that, in my opinion joined forces from government and the university system must serve to a broader range of function than economic. Universities must provide academic programmes suitable for people's professional backgrounds and needs; education have to orientate its efforts toward a society as a whole, with the extensive variety of cultures, and vocational and professional training's needs that this includes.
