Even with these downfalls, the society of the Republic was very strong. The people were very patriotic and were very proud of Rome. They were able to change in adverse situations and keep on working as nothing had happened. I have to believe that the Republic would have lived for much longer had they not spread so big so fast that their government could not keep up.
