He was very similar to Charles' and made many hypocritical comments about Charles' dictator like reign. Despite the fact that he tried to improve the country, he was more interested in his personal opinions and views instead of considering other views. Overall I would describe Oliver Cromwell as a modest replica of his enemy; King Charles I.
