The depiction of the Spanish Civil War by George Orwell in his Homage to Catalonia is remarkable; an extremely well written novel. I would not hesitate for a second to recommend this book to anyone, as it is very hard not to appreciate writing of this quality. I commend Orwell for his fascinating depiction of the Spanish Civil War and the Spanish in general, as Homage to Catalonia is truly a pleasure to read.
