know of. It is two forms of Islamic brotherhoods. The main brotherhood is called Mouridism. It is of Senegalese origin and was founded in the late 1800's by Amadou Bamba Mbacke. He is considered half God and also a liberation hero. The most important event of Mouridism is the annual pilgrimage where Bamba is buried. The mosque of his burial is the largest in Senegal and one of the largest in the world.
