Throughout 'The Truman Show' Peter Weir has used images and themes to show how the media blur the line between reality and unreality, not only in Truman's world but also in our own. Truman's suspicions are confirmed when a trooper that had never met him says " You're welcome Truman". Through themes such as entrapment we are forced to think of how we ourselves are absorbed into what the media presents us, just like Truman, when we realise do we try and escape or are we continually being sucked in.
