Few sweeping epics of that style have been created since, and even fewer have garnered such high praise and regard. Although The Man From Snowy River's message might not be for everyone, considering how its low-key style has been somewhat spoiled by the glitz and glamour of movie magic, the film still holds up as a worthwhile gem, even decades after its original release.
