The Doctrines of Mary are very strongly debated. The only reasons she is not ridiculed against and looked down as is because there is not enough Biblical support about the doctrines. no idea about spiritual, thoughtful dedication and prayer so the topic of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is difficult for them to grasp. They will ask "where is that in the Bible" like that's the only question that can come out of the discussion.
