The landmark case of McCulloch v. Maryland in 1819 unanimously ruled that the Constitution allowed Congress to establish the National Bank. I do believe that the power to tax is the power to destroy. The government should do what is best for the country such as establishing the national bank. On the other hand it's in the people's best interest whether they would want these banks or not.
