The experimenter tried to eliminate any errors by using about the same range of temperature for each object. The experiment could have been improved by having a better heating device, maybe one that you could change the range of temperature by switching a dial instead of having different temperatures in different spots. The experimenter learned that it isn't that easy to experiment with such little things.
