There were a few differences between the book and the movie. The main one was that in the movie Barbara Sabich confesses to the murder of Carolyn Polhemus after Rusty washes the hatchit. In the novel, Rusty figures out that his jealous, crazy wife fantasized, plotted and killed Carolyn Polhemus. Word Count: 1412
