Though the bitterness that is embodied by many Israelis is clearly understandable, their claim to the former land of Palestine is clearly of religious basis and therefor should have had no effect in the decision of creating a nation for displaced Jewish people. Even though I believe in God as the majority of others do, there is still no legal or scientific documentation that God exists and has the power to declare territories.
