The start of the garden scene in the book begins with Benadick holding a book whilst he talks to the young servant, whereas in Kenneth Branagh's version it starts in the garden where talks to himself. This has not affected the scene at all because Branagh has kept the plot of the scene, which is love and romance between the two genders, Benadick and Beatrice.
