Mao Tse-tung, Mao Zedong or Mou Dzŭ-doong was Chinese revolutionary and political leader. He was born on December 26, 1893 in a village in Hunan. His father was Mao Shunsheng, a well-doing peasant, and his mother's name was Wen Qimei.
