Malcolm needed to see for himself that that life can, and does, thrive without a constant struggle over the superiority of one race over another. Once he experienced this in Mecca he tried to bring that feeling of brotherhood among races back to the United States. Unfortunately he was assassinated before his greatest works could be completed.
