On October 30, 1735 one of the United States founding fathers was born in Braintree, Massachusetts. He was named after his father, John Adams, the deacon of the church. His parents expected him to do well in school and attend Harvard. Despite going to Harvard he did not care for school much. John Adams was truly a patriot and can be considered a reason for this nations very existence.

I would suggest to change the introdution so it does not begin with the date of birth. Also the end could be changed to not sound so cheesy.
I could not fit the question my teacher asked me in the title box so here it is: My teacher asked me to specify what made John Adams(or whoever you were assigned)different from all other American History heroes such as Ben Franklin or George Washington.
