On March 26, 1930 Sandra Day was born in El Paso, Texas to Harry and Ada Day. The family owned a ranch in Arizona, which her grandfather Henry Day established in the 1880's. Today she is still hard at work, helping to make decisions that will shape Americas future. As the first woman on the Supreme Court, Sandra Day O'Connor has acted much as any conservative male justice might have done. She has been an excellent role model to both men and women.
