If before we have time surplus, then time affluence, with the arise of technology and what it brings for the world to be competitive and fast-paced, now we have time famine. Economic growth doesn't equate to free time. And technological advances are equated to economic growth and fast consumption. Fast consumption then leads to more production. And all this ties up to have less free time.
