Hiroshima, Tragedy or Necessity
The atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was completely unjustified as a means to end the war with Japan. The impact of conventional bombing of the Japanese homeland had completely destroyed Japans infrastructure, industry, and demoralized the populist. Furthermore, Japans significant military losses in its Pacific Rim islands demonstrated that Japan had lost its ability to effectively fight or continue the war.
