INTRODUCTION Gregor Mendel played a very important role in the underlying principals of genetic inheritance. Plants are now designed in laboratories to exhibit desired characteristics. The results of Mendel's research, has not only changed the way we perceive the world, but also the way we live in it. Without the knowledge of Gregor Mendel's work we would not be as scientifically advanced as we are today.
