Friendship and the theories of Friendship.
Friendship is defined by Philip Zimbardo as a relationship between people characterized by intimacy but not by passion and commitment. Zimbardo uses his reward theory to show us how people get attracted to each other, being it friendship or a relationship. In the first stanza, these friends are close and they even become closer because they are near to each other. Throughout the poem, knowledge is communicated and created through the use of metaphors. Through these metaphors, the qualities of friendship are revealed. Most of these qualities also relate to Zimbardo's reward theory.
