In this essay I will argue that a good filmic adaption must be true to a novel's form and content. I will use as my argument the novels Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Bronte, and Les Liaisons Dangereuses, by Choderlos De Laclos;

As any art it should be unique to the writer's and director's imagination, however, to comply with the novel one cannot ignore the value and the important materials and substances which a novel has been acclaimed for. It is then, that the film will produce a piece which will relate to the novel, however it will express the themes in it's unique and ample way, a way in which the cinema offers the makers.
