I agree with William Graham Sumner who distinguished norms into two groups of customary and routine ways of life like the way we dress, look, eat and speak to one another- folkways, and essential concepts for livelihood like privacy, freedom and rights- mores. (Ferrante, Pg: 209-210). Based on the materials I read about deviance and the experiment I had on eating habits I understand that deviance plays a very important part in all our lives.
