What is a place that smells like fear and tastes like sadness? A hospital. Hospitals are either a place great to go to or a place of sadness. The joy of a hospital is when my sister had her first child in a hospital, but my mother was in and out of the place for detoxification. The surroundings, the scent, the sight, and what I heard were not my ideal hospital visits. I

and her fear of leaving her children to go to rehab kills her. It was January 13, 2004 and she checked herself into rehab. It has been years since I have seen her this strong and willing to change for herself and her family. The detoxification ward, smelt horrible, had me feel uncomfortable when my mom felt at home, and made me feel like I was above the rest due to my strength in not being addicted.
