The issue over the separation of church and state is ever present in today's society. Much of the controversy stems from the First Amendment which guarantees our most basic rights--freedom of religion, press, speech, and assembly. With the federal government funding relatively everything today, one can litigate almost anything in regards to "state-sponsored religion." The question some are asking now is where will this stop? In the end, I agree with those who favor the non-separation of church and state, and the people who wish to express their religious views around the world.
