Democracy does not work. This is the case in some countries. However in others democracy can thrive and work like no other government. Athens economy was in much better shape than Iraq is in right now. Democracy worked in Athens because the people supported change. Democracy will never be able to develop and thrive because the U.S. is forcing Iraq to change and the people will never be happy with whoever becomes president.
