Pain is not a symptom of early Breast Cancer. Although the Breast and nipple can be affected and be noticeable. There can be a lump, nipple discharge, dimpling or puckering of Breast tissue and scaling of nipple tissue. This is the only part of the body that is affected before treatment, but if Cancer spreads other parts of the body can be affected.

Tamoxifen is given sometimes when some Breast cancers need the hormone oestrogen to grow. Tamoxifen stops the growth of cancer cells and slows them down. Tamoxifen is usually started up to 1-4 weeks after surgery. If you have Chemotherapy, Tamoxifen is taken once treatment is complete. Most women take Tamoxifen for 2-5 years.
