I had no idea that America was still segregated and wasn't even close to integrating. I realized when reading the book my friends and I are very rare. We've lived in multi-cultured environments and by that we have become color-blind. It's very sad to think that only a small percentage of people in America have actually integrated. As great and resourceful this book is, it makes you wish Leonard Steinhorn and Barbara Diggs-Brown weren't right.
