Beethoven is one of the most well known and respected composers of the world today. He is a house hold name, after writing many pieces for the piano and violin. He achieved greatness through patience and skill.

Beethoven soon became quite ill. He had a case of dropsy and jaundice caused by his diseased liver. He died in march 1827, with a thunderstorm outside to add to the mood.
It may be true that Ludwig van Beethoven died, but his legacy lives on after him. His music is heard and loved by people everywhere. He always kept his love for music with him, wherever he went. No doubt he has it still.
