Analyze That picks up where 1999's Analyze This left off. Paul Vitti (Robert De Niro) is a mob boss, now in Sing-Sing Prison. Ben Sobol (Billy Crystal) is trying to carry on a quiet psychology practice in the wake of his father's death. When someone starts trying to kill Vitti in prison, he succumbs to a bout of catatonia, mingled with Broadway show tunes. …showed last 75 words of 452 total…have been dropped by director Harold Ramis to the cutting room floor, and were sewn back in as outtakes to accompany the credits at the end of the movie. This movie feels padded, like you're trying to ship little diamonds in too big a box without having them rattle. It clocks in at 95-minutes. Remove the distractions and leaden moments and you probably have just enough humour left to make a 30-minute Tuesday night sitcom.
