One may say that there is no bigger confusion in economic theory than the one that surrounds the phenomenon of money. This confusion exists because money is a complex phenomenon. Money isn't just an economic, but also a legal, social and psychological category. It is said that money represents one of the greatest cultural achievements of mankind. That is why economic theory alone cannot give an answer to what money is.

integrity of those who control the money flow is the cause of the "Asian tigers" crisis as well as the currency fall of Roman Empire.
Almost 2500 years separate Roman and modern "money managers". Even tough during this time money almost completely changed it's form, the essence is still the same, and while money functions it will remain that way: the integrity of money depends on the moral integrity and values of those who control it.
